Abstract: Sphere packing is the problem of arrangingnon-overlapping congruent spheres in Euclidean spaces, with the goal ofmaximizing the combined volume of the spheres. Lattice sphere packings are veryimportant as they provide some of the densest packings. In this talk, we willintroduce the problem of sphere packing and the classification problem of lowdimensional strongly perfect lattices.

主讲人介绍：

胡思煌，山东大学网络空间安全学院教授、德国洪堡基金获得者、山东大学杰出中青年学者、泰山学者青年专家。主要从事组合数学与信息交叉领域的研究，包括代数组合、编码与信息论、球与格填充等方向。已在国际数学著名期刊《Journal of the London Mathematical Society》、信息论顶级期刊《IEEE Transactions on Information Theory》（CCF-A）、离散数学权威期刊《SIAM Journal on Discrete Mathematics》、著名数论期刊《Journal of Number Theory》等发表多篇论文。
